London -- Britain's Prince William says he plans to shave off his beard, even though a group of female admirers insist they love his new look, The Sun said.

The newspaper said the 26-year-old royal caused a buzz when he was seen sporting the facial hair in public for the first time at a Christmas Day church service.

A 75-year-old woman said she told the prince loved his beard, but he didn't seem as fond of it.

"He stroked his chin, felt his beard and said: 'Not very good. It's coming off,'" Mary Relph told The Sun.

Debbie Bartlett was one of 2,000 people who waited to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family outside St. Mary Magdalene church on the Queen's estate in Sandringham.

"I've wanted to kiss William for 19 years. Every year, I ask him for a kiss for Christmas when they leave church," Bartlett told the newspaper. "I've never managed to get one before. He has always blushed and refused. Once he said, 'Next year, I promise.' Today, I called out to William, 'Where's my Christmas kiss?' He looked at me and said, 'Oh, go on then -- but just one kiss.' He put his cheek next to mine and I kissed him right on his beard. It was lovely. So soft, not scratchy. He must have put conditioner on it. I can't stop shaking, I'm so excited."

New York -- The father of U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan is denying he recently announced he sired another child after his youngest offspring, Aliana.

A posting attributed to Lohan on MySpace Celebrity Wednesday said: "My father just let my family and I know, amongst others, that he had another child after my little sister Aliana, or maybe he had it before Aliana? Either way, he cheated on my mother and that really sucks ... Merry Christmas!"

However, her father Michael e-mailed People magazine and denied the claims made in the posting.

He also said in a separate conversation with the magazine that he thinks there is a "99 percent chance" the posting was penned by Lindsay's girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, and not his daughter.

London -- Irish actor Michael Gambon has called British playwright Harold Pinter, who died of cancer this week, a "god" for actors.

Pinter penned dozens of plays including "The Caretaker" and "The Birthday Party," as well as scripts for the films "The French Lieutenant's Woman" and "Sleuth." He died Wednesday at the age of 78.

Gambon, who is best known for playing Albus Dumbledore in the three most recent "Harry Potter" films, has appeared in numerous Pinter plays throughout his career. He is scheduled to star in a new production of the scribe's "No Man's Land" in London Friday, the BBC said.

"He was our God, Harold Pinter, for actors," Gambon told The Guardian newspaper in London. "He was the man who wrote the plays you wanted to be in."

Los Angeles -- CBS officials did not pay Warner Bros. Television agreed-upon fees as part of the U.S. companies' deal for the series "Two and a Half Men," a lawsuit alleges.

Warner Bros. has alleged in a Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit that CBS did not pay WBTV officials an agreed-upon premium for airing the comedy's fifth and sixth seasons, The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.

The breach of contract suit also alleges the TV network never compensated the studio for production costs as part of their "Men" distribution agreement.

"CBS has reaped the benefits of the tremendous success of 'Two and a Half Men' but wants to deny Warner Bros. the right to its agreed-upon share," the $49 million suit alleges.

The suit is related to a 2003 agreement between the two entertainment industry heavyweights regarding premium fees and recoupment requirements tied to the sitcom.
