At a media event in Los Angeles Friday, Gaspin talked about the network changes this past year -- the network gave its 10 p.m. hour to Jay Leno and lost longtime talent Conan O'Brien to TBS when it moved Leno back to 11:30 p.m., The Hollywood Reporter said.
"We made too many changes too quickly from a position of weakness," Gaspin told reporters. "And so it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. The goal is to rebuild, get stronger. And then, if we need to make changes at that point, it will be several years down the line. We'll have more information, but we won't be working from such a position of weakness, which really jeopardized some of the decisions that we made."
Gaspin said, "I'm done with late night for now. I'm going to focus on prime time."

NBC's Gaspin to focus on prime time
Well, after messing up the late night schedule which resulted in losing Conan to TBS, Gaspin is ready to mess with the primtetime schedule. I'm not sure how much of a mess he can make of an already messed up schedule but we will see come September.
For their sake, I hope they have more shows in place to replace The Event, Outsorce, Unndercovers and all the rest of their new shows. A fortune down the drain on new shows. I don't see NBC coming out of 4th place in any sort of demo, even with the sorry state that ABC is at.
