The three-year collective bargaining pact concerns a new TV/theatrical contract between the two parties, the AMPTP said in a statement Tuesday.

"These early talks allowed us to bridge the gaps created by uncertain economic times and deliver increases in areas critical to DGA members," the statement said.

Negotiations, which began Nov. 16, concluded Tuesday afternoon.

Nominations for the 38th annual Annie Awards, which are to honor 2010's best offerings in animation, were announced Monday. The winners are to be announced at a ceremony Feb. 5 at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles.

The nominees in this year's Best Short Subject category include "Coyote Falls," "Day & Night," "Enrique Wrecks the World," "The Cow Who Wanted to Be a Hamburger" and "The Renter."

In the running for the Best Animated Television Production prize are "Futurama," "Kung Fu Panda Holiday," "Scared Shrekless," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "The Simpsons."

Law Enforcement officials said last week they received several tips in the Chasen case, including one from the TV show "America's Most Wanted" that involved Smith.

"It's all looking really good," director Adam Shankman -- whose directing credits include "Hairspray" and "The Wedding Planner" -- told E! News.

"I was really inspired and impressed by him as Les Grossman and his willingness to go for it," Shankman said, referring to the over-the-top, dancing film executive Cruise played in the comedy "Tropic Thunder." "He and I had talked about doing a musical, so I thought I'd talk to him about 'Rock of Ages.'"

So, will the action icon sing in the movie?

"Of course, he will," Shankman told E! News. "If he's in it, he has to."
