Aptech surges, HCL slips

At 10:48 am (IST), the BSE 30-share Sensex has lost by 55 points at 10878 and the NSE 50-share Nifty is down by 12 points to 3184.

The market have opened on a negative ground led by selling in heavy weights like BHEL, BPCL, Wipro, VSNL, Reliance Industries and Satyam Computers.

Hero Honda, Maruti Udyog, Reliance Industries and BHEL are the major losers among 50-Nifty stocks. However Grasim, Hindalco, ONGC and Tata power are the major gainers among the NSE 50-shares.

At 10:56 am (IST),Aptech has surged by over 8.6% to Rs. 114

Aptech has surged by over 8.6% to Rs. 114 after RBI allowed FIIs to buy up to 74% of the company. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 115 and a low of Rs. 105 and has recorded volumes of over 9 lakh shares on NSE.

HCL Tech has lost by 2.5% to Rs. 541. The company has received an order from Teradyne.The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 558 and a low of Rs. 537 and has recorded volumes of over 3 lakh shares on NSE
