‘Love Factor’ makes the X Factor spicier

London, December 12: ‘Love Factor’ often enthralls viewers to reality shows. X Factor’s supreme judge, Simon Cowell, knows it well. That seems to be the reason he kept the trump for the finale. He has made the right move at the right time by claiming that Eoghan Quigg and Diana Vickers are in love.

Cowell described the two contestants as, “two kids in love”, at the X Factor finale press conference yesterday.

Though Diana has been eliminated from the show, Eoghan is still there and may carry over the melodrama and win the emotional viewers at least, if not the title.

“It's live TV, things like that happen, that's the fun”, said Cowell, expressing how much he loved the episode when Eoghan ran to embrace Diana after her stunning performance.

The last episode, indeed, had bewildered millions of viewers when Diana Vickers professed her feelings for finalist Eoghan Quigg, while her boyfriend was also present in the audience. When the 17-year old Vickers broke down on learning her elimination, Eoghan ran and embraced her.

Her sobbing voice was audible enough when she expressed, “I love you Eoghan, so much” and the cameras ran to and fro sometimes focusing her heart-broken boyfriend, Chris Jones, and then again on the budding love story.

The two extremes of emotions proved quite successful to captivate 9 million viewers throughout the episode. Though the two contestants have always denied the affair, last episode only affirmed the rumors.

The show’s finale would be made as big as it can possibly be, with heartthrob celebrity appearances that include Beyonce, Duffy and Boyzone. Nevertheless, the love angle might also play an instrumental role in adding a parallel entertainment. Finale might also be the climax of Diana-Eoghan’s love story, which the show’s producers can only welcome.
