Several gossip magazines released the news this week claiming that Swift is expecting her first child with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas, who dumped her over the phone in October.
Furious over the rumors, the 18-year-old country star denied in a post on her Celebrity MySpace blog that she and ex-beau Jonas are not expecting their first child together.
"I read a very creative rumor this morning saying I'm pregnant, which is the most impossible thing on the planet," the teenaged country crooner writes on her blog. "Take my word for it, "Impossible."
The pregnancy rumors came on the heels of Swift’s confirmation about her and the Jonas Brothers singer’s breakup. She recently spoke out about her and the “Camp Rock” star’s split in October saying that Jonas hurt her deeply. "It's been tough. You just have to try to realize someday you'll find someone that's right for you,” she said.
Meanwhile, Swift has been busy promoting her upcoming album ‘Fearless,’ which is due out in stores on November 11. The album also includes tracks that indicate her sentiments toward her ex love.
She told People magazine that her song “Forever and Always” is inspired by her recent summer breakup. "[It's] a song about watching somebody completely fade away in a relationship and wondering what you did wrong," she told the magazine.
Swift is expected to perform at the 42nd Annual CMA Awards and the 2008 American Music Awards, both airing this month on ABC.
"Today is the last day for AMA Awards voting," the singer tells fans on her blog. "It would be so amazing if you'd go vote (for me, maybe pleasssseee) … and show me some love in the Favorite Female Country Artist category."
Born Taylor Alison Swift on December 13, 1989 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Swift is a Platinum-selling, American country music singer-songwriter who began performing locally around her town and county at the age of ten.
Swift released her debut single, "Tim McGraw," in August 2006, followed by a self-titled album that October.
In 2007, Swift won CMT's "Breakthrough Video of the Year" award for her hit "Tim McGraw", and was also nominated by the Academy of Country Music for "Top New Female Vocalist".
