Tired of Media’s Speculation, Presley confirms her Pregnancy

Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley was fed up of the constant speculation and finally decided to make known that she is expecting her third child. The singer was delighted about her pregnancy but was offended by the media for what she described as “slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles.”

"Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight," wrote the 40-year-old singer, in a posting on her MySpace blog.

People magazine cited Presley's publicist as saying the singer was pregnant and expecting a child in the fall with her fourth husband, musician Michael Lockwood, 46, and that the couple was “incredibly overjoyed.” The two married in January 2006 in Japan.

She hopes her verification of the news would end all the gossip.

Presley, in her blog titled ‘confirmation under the gun,’ reveals that she was forced by the tabloid stories to “show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant.”

“It is unfortunate that I couldn't have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances,” she said.

Presley already has a daughter Riley, 18, and son Benjamin, 15, from her first marriage to musician to Danny Keough. After they divorced in 1994, the singer was married, for a short time to Michael Jackson and then to actor Nicolas Cage.

Presley is following the footsteps of her father, who passed away in 1977. She is working on her third album, and last year released a version of Elvis' ‘In the Ghetto.’
