Indiana gov. bitten by constituent's dog

Indianapolis -- Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels was bitten on the leg by a farmer's dog after he scared the animal with his Harley-Davidson.

Daniels, who has not yet announced whether he is running for a second term, was staying with the dog's owner on a farm near Bloomington. He described the bite as "one of those little hazards involved in traveling around Indiana," The Indianapolis Star reported.

Thursday morning, the day after the bite, Daniels went to a diner for what he says is his new favorite breakfast -- "eggs over easy, biscuits and gravy and a tetanus shot."

"I like riding motorcycles and I like dogs," he told WTHR (Channel 13) Friday. "The combination proved a little difficult because I think the noise got the farmer's dog upset, but I'm fine."

Daniels was bitten by a pig during his 2004 campaign.

The dog is not going to be euthanized.
