Duluth, Ga. -- Troy Matteson, one of four rookie winners on the PGA Tour last year, shared the lead with Ryuji Imada Friday midway through the AT&T Classic.

Matteson shot an 8-under 64 at the TPC-Sugarloaf course while Imada posted a 67. They jointly held the top spot at 10-under 134. D.J. Brigman was alone in third at 135 while first-round leader Kevin Sutherland made three straight bogeys on the back nine for a 71 that put him at 136.

"I haven't been playing good the last bunch of weeks or actually months, but I've been working with my coach a little bit and he's really helped me," Matteson said. "It's a little bit of a shock to see a 64."

Those tied for fifth place at 137 included Camilo Villegas, Craig Kanada and Masters winner Zach Johnson, who won this tournament three years ago.

Coincidentally, the tournament is being played in Georgia and the co-leaders both graduated from colleges in the state. Matteson went to Georgia Tech and Imada went to the University of Georgia.
