Bubbly Brit Passes Out in Nightclub

She was in news just a few days back, and it seems that staying away from media and public attention is difficult for her. Just when you thought that Britney has relaxed in her cocoon, she again provided fodder for the yellow journalism.

The post party tragedies and after affects of drinking has not spared the 'Toxic' star. Dressed in a stunning black sequined ensemble, Brit arrived on the dance floor in the up-market Las Vegas nightclub 'Pure' for hosting the New Year's Eve bash there.

Welcoming 2007, Brit grabbed a bottle of Dom Perignon and gulped down some champagne. Around 1 a.m., the star fainted and was carried out by her body guards, who covered her face while carrying her, in order to avoid her picture's being clicked in that condition.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reported bodyguards at the Pure Nightclub "whisked her away from the VIP section to her suite about 1am and she did not return".

Her manager Larry Rudolph said later: "She's fine. She had been traveling all day. She got real tired. It was a late night for her."

An eyewitness reported that five bodyguards carried Britney, and were trying to stop photographers from clicking pictures by shining torch in their eyes. He also said that Britney was unable to walk on her own and was physically carried out.

It is known that the star was paid over US$300,000 to make an appearance at the club, but her collapsing, disappointed the people who were present at the club.

The people present at the bash reported that drinking was the main cause of Britney's collapse, but her bodyguard Larry Rudolph snubbed away these hearsays, holding that sheer exhaustion was behind the fiasco. “By about one o'clock, she was just done, so we took her out. She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep. There is nothing out of the ordinary here,” he said.

This is not the first time Britney was carried out of a nightclub by her bodyguards. A fortnight ago, she collapsed at a Hollywood nightclub, cementing her reputation of a hard-partier.

Not only this, she has tainted her reputation by dressing scantily without underwear and dancing on stage with strippers. She has sullied her reputation to such an extent that she was recently booed at a game and a popular fan site dedicated to her was shut down.

Britney embarked on the journey of stardom quite early in life and her debut single "Baby One More Time" won many hearts. Her success as a singer and worldwide popularity led her way to high-profile advertising deals, most notably for Pepsi, as well as forays into other forms of media, including film and reality television.

When she stepped into the world of entertainment, she was lauded with many awards, but soon her public image drastically changed and her personal life has grabbed much media attention. Britney's kiss with Madonna at the 2003 'MTV Video Music Awards' received much media attention, as have her marriages and romantic relationships.

In 2003, Britney caused much controversy when she appeared in sexually suggestive poses in the magazine 'W'. In an interview with Rob Haskell, which accompanied the photos, she has revealed of having lost her virginity to ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake. She even revealed that she enjoys tobacco smoking and kissed Colin Farrell but had no serious relationship with him.

Her semi-nude pictures in the magazine 'Esquire' in November 2003 became a hot topic of discussion. The 2004 'Onyx Hotel Tour' brought new criticism, as her indecent performance outraged the audiences. She has even appeared nude in the August 2006 issue of 'Harper's Bazaar'.

The Toxic singer, who walked out on her husband Kevin Federline recently, has two sons – one year old Sean Preston and newborn Jayden James. She has been spotted partying ever since she has announced about her break-up in November.

The singer is seeking legal and physical custody of her two sons, but the divorce lawyer Dylan Mitchell fears that her non-stop partying and stained public image will negatively affect the custody battle.
