Harrington leads at Sun City

Sun City, South Africa -- Padraig Harrington, the winner of three major championships, shot a 6-under 66 Thursday to seize a one-shot advantage at the Nedbank Challenge.

Harrington is taking part in this 12-player tournament for the first time in four years.

Ross Fisher's 67 left him alone in second place and Lee Westwood was another shot back.

If Westwood finishes among the top four this week, he will retain his No. 1 world ranking no matter what Tiger Woods does in the tournament he is hosting in California. Woods held the lead after 18 holes of that event.

Miguel Angel Jimenez was alone in fourth after shooting a 69 at the Gary Player Country Club. Defending champion Robert Allenby and Justin Rose both had a 70.

The opening round was delayed for 2 hours by thunderstorms.
