'Bone,' 'Kids' earn Spirit Award nods

Los Angeles -- "127 Hours," "Black Swan" and "Winter's Bone" were nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for best feature in Los Angeles Tuesday.

"Greenberg" and "The Kids Are All Right" also earned nods for the top film prize.

In the running for the best director title are Darren Aronofsky for "Black Swan," Danny Boyle for "127 Hours," Lisa Cholodenko for "The Kids Are All Right," Debra Granik for "Winter's Bone" and John Cameron Mitchell for "Rabbit Hole."

Nominated for the best first feature prize are "Everything Strange and New," "Get Low," "The Last Exorcism," "Night Catches Us" and "Tiny Furniture."

Vying for the best screenplay accolade are Lisa Cholodenko and Stuart Blumberg for "The Kids Are All Right," Debra Granik and Anne Rosellini for "Winter's Bone," Nicole Holofcener for "Please Give," David Lindsay-Abaire for "Rabbit Hole" and Todd Solondz for "Life During Wartime."

Shortlisted in the best female lead category are Nicole Kidman for "Rabbit Hole," Annette Bening for "The Kids Are All Right," Greta Gerwig for "Greenberg," Jennifer Lawrence for "Winter's Bone," Natalie Portman for "Black Swan" and Michelle Williams for"Blue Valentine."

The nominees for best male lead are Ronald Bronstein for "Daddy Longlegs," Aaron Eckhart for "Rabbit Hole," James Franco for "127 Hours," John C. Reilly for "Cyrus" and Ben Stiller for "Greenberg."
Competing for the best foreign film trophy are "The King's Speech," "Kisses," "Mademoiselle Chambon," "Of Gods and Men" and "Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives."

Nominated for best documentary are "Exit Through the Gift Shop," "Marwencol," "Restrepo," "Sweetgrass" and "Thunder Soul."

The Independent Spirit Awards ceremony will be held Feb. 26 in Santa Monica, Calif. Actor and television personality Joel McHale is to serve as host.
