McCarthy set for 'Rockin' Eve' broadcast

New YorkEW -- Jenny McCarthy is to help out with reporting duties on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011" in New York, ABC said Monday.
The comedian, activist and author will present the program with Seacrest and Clark live from Times Square.
The special is to begin Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
"Jenny is a great addition to this year's show. She is funny, relatable and high energy, and she will be great with our New Year's crowd, Ryan and Dick," Larry Klein, producer of the specials, said in a statement.
The bi-coastal celebration will include 3 1/2 hours of special performances and reports on New Year's celebrations from around the globe, as well as the American tradition of Clark counting down to midnight from Times Square.
"I was reminded how great Jenny is at live broadcasting when she recently stopped by my radio show. That day, with Dick's blessing, I invited her to join us in Times Square," Seacrest said.
