Apple and Verizon have been discussing the launch of the iPhone on Verizon's network, but the discussions have not been always been smooth, Apple Insider reported Thursday.
Among the disagreements, Verizon insisted on continuing with video and music digital sales and disagreed with Apple's proposal that Verizon's retail divisions not sell the iPhone.
Apple, for its part, insisted on making a CDMA compatible phone for Verizon, rather than a dual-mode phone that would also make use of a GSM network.
Verizon, in the meantime, is revamping its network to carry the heavy data load its system is likely to run into when iPhone users sign on, which could be in the first half of 2011, Apple Insider said.
