NBA: Sacramento 109, Houston 100

Sacramento -- Jason Thompson keyed a 63-point first half Friday and Sacramento held on to win its fourth straight game -- 109-100 over Houston.

It is the first four-game winning streak for the Kings in more than a year.

The Kings, who established a franchise low by winning just 17 games last season, improved to 5-4 in the young campaign.

Thompson scored 27 points with 11 rebounds and helped Sacramento build an 11-point lead at halftime.

Houston came back to tie it midway through the fourth quarter, but back-to-back jump shots by Beno Udrih and Spencer Hawes gave the Kings the lead for good.

Udrih finished with 22 points and Tyreke Evans had 20.
Houston, which fell out of a share of the Southwest Division lead with Dallas, was led by 28 points from Trevor Ariza.
