An unidentified friend told the host of "Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee" Jolie prepared one of the chef's no-fuss cakes for her son Maddox's birthday in August, People.com reported Friday.
"I was really surprised when her friend let me know she made my No Bake birthday cake," Lee said. "She's a 'Semi-Homemade' mommy just like the rest of us!"
Lee, 43, said she was impressed the 34-year-old actress took the time to make the cake, which features a store-bought white sheet cake topped with a round cake, cookies and cupcakes.
"She's a very busy, overextended mother," Lee told People. "I'm very proud not just that she made my cake but that someone of her stature isn't delegating these (tasks), like her children's birthday, to other people."
While Jolie balances acting, six children and humanitarian work, Lee is ready to support "Semi-Homemade" and the Food Network's "Sandra's Money Saving Meals" with three new cookbooks due out Monday.
