Jennifer Hudson has a baby boy

Chicago -- Academy Award winner and Chicago native Jennifer Hudson gave birth to a boy, named David Daniel Otunga Jr. after Hudson's fiance, the singer's publicist said.

The baby, weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces, was born Monday, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday.

Otunga is a former Chicago lawyer and ex-reality-TV star who now is pursuing a career as a professional wrestler.

"The baby is beautiful and perfect," publicist Lisa Kasteler said. "His parents are ecstatic."
