Pilots strike at All Nippon Airways

Tokyo -- Pilots for Japan's All Nippon Airways went on strike Wednesday demanding a better management response to safety concerns.

The Japanese airline said 149 flights would be canceled and 14 others delayed, affecting a total of 7,268 passengers. No international flights would be affected, the airline said, although 18.4 percent of its domestic flights were disrupted, Kyodo News reported.

About 600 pilots said they would strike until midnight.
