Wal-Mart recalls 'CARS' children's shoes

WASHINGTON, April 10 -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of "CARS" children's shoes due to a choking hazard.

The CARS Fleece Clog Children's Shoes, designed to resemble cars and made for young children, include four decorative wheels that can detach and create a choking hazard, the commission said.

About 91,000 pairs of shoes, imported from China by Wal-Mart of Bentonville, Ark., were sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores in the United States and Canada from September 2008 through March 2009 for about $10.

The shoes range from infant sizes to toddler sizes 7 though 11.

Consumers were advised to return the shoes to a Wal-Mart store for a full refund.

Consumers can call Buster Brown & Co. at 888-869-1044 for information.
