The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 consoles are set to arrive in stores on Nov. 10. The original Call of Duty game had sold in millions, and if the newest console comes anywhere near to this number, it could be profitable for both the companies.
Todd Alderman, Infinities Ward’s lead multiplayer designer and Manager Robert Bowling explained the additions like call signs and added kill streak functionality, while ‘Major Nelson’(real name Larry Hryb), director of Programming for the Microsoft gaming network Xbox Live, broke down all there was to know about Xbox 360 “Modern Warfare 2” special edition consoles.

Here are the few known features of limited edition Xbox 360 consoles:-
• Custom designed Xbox 360 console
• 250GB hard drive
• 2 set of wireless controllers
• An Xbox 360 headset, black in color
• A standard copy of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game
• Xbox 360 composite A/V C able
However, HDMI cable won’t be bundled into the package and have to purchase separately.
Availability and price
The latest limited edition Modern Warfare 2 consoles are already up for preorder at Amazon.com on US retail price of $399. It will be simultaneously launched in Europe, but UK pricing has not yet been announced.
The company will try to sell the console anywhere in the world where there are game lovers with serious cash to spend: in Australia, Columbia, Mexico, Chile, New Zealand, Canada, U.S., United Kingdom, Europe, UAE, Saudi Arabia to name a few markets.
And the market is all ready for the consoles, by the looks of it. Some online readers on venturebeat.com made quite encouraging comments. Like this one: “Thanks for showing us the system, now I can go paint my regular system and have it before anyone” posted by Dandle.
Another online reader, Carsonlewis, posted on the same site that if he knew about the newest consoles just 4 days ago he would have waited rather than buy Xbox 360 Elite.
So far, it’s a wait and watch game for both analysts and game freaks alike.
