'Black Swan' actress Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin split

"The split was amicable, and they remain close friends," Kunis' rep told the New York Post's Page Six about the breakup.

Its finally over between Black Swan actress Mila Kunis and her longtime boyfriend and 'Home Alone' star Macaulay Culkin.

Kunis, whose role in Darren Aronofsky's 'Black Swan' led to her nomination for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award, has officially split with Culkin after being together for 8 years.

They first started dating in the year 2002 while Kunis was starring on the 'That '70s Show,' reports reveal.

"The split was amicable, and they remain close friends," Kunis' rep told the New York Post's Page Six about the breakup. "The couple split some time ago but has kept it low-key while Kunis promotes the movie."

Kunis fond of Culkin
Earlier in the year 2007, while Kunis had denied having an affair with Culkin, she however spoke fondly about her relationship with the star during an interview.

"We're incredibly private, and I think we relish the privacy we do actually have and are able to sustain it," she told Parade magazine at the time.

"We enjoy each other's company. We like to read books or play video games or watch TV or go to the movies. And he's an amazing cook. He makes dinner every night."

She added that Culkin was one of the most amazing, simplest and the most brilliant persons she had ever come across in her life.

Culkin married actress Rachel Miner at the age of 18. However the pair split within a short period of 2 years.

Further, in 2009, in an interview with BlackBook, Kunis had opened up about her reservations with marriage and commitment.

"Not to say that I don't believe in it, but it's just not something that's important to me," she explained. "But I will have children. I'm too selfish to have them now, but when I do, I don't feel like I need to be married. I need to have a person in my life who will care for me and my children — nothing else."

Culkin: Hollywood's biggest child star
Culkin, who was earlier Hollywood's biggest child star, started earning £4 million a film before he starred in 1994's 'Richie Rich.'

His worth ranged between £9 million and £25 million during the mid-1990s, which started draining away soon after in a legal battle with his parents.
