The Twilight Saga: "New Moon" review

New York, November 20 -- The second film adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer's popular supernatural romance series, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson--stars of The Twilight Saga: "New Moon"

New York, November 20 -- The second film adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer's popular supernatural romance series, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon", is out in theaters Friday, and is expected to take nearly $100 million in UK and US cinemas.

The film shows a love triangle between high school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and werewolf, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

The first movie in the series, Twilight, which was released last year, made $69.6 million, beating James Bond flick- Quantum of Solace, which earned $67.5 million.

The cast
The cast is almost identical to the last film except for a few characters. Bella is an appreciative and sturdy character throughout the movie. Her broken heart is compared to the old fashioned look of the movie. Edward, on the other hand, is more or less tormented and agonized throughout the movie, but, all in all, does justice to his role.

Jacob Black, Bella’s childhood best friend, isn’t the same as he was in the last movie.

Newcomer Michael Sheen plays werewolf Aro, the 2000-year-old leader of Volturi--an elite body of European vampires who make rules for the vampires.

Huge fan following
There was great excitement and enthusiasm everywhere for the movie as teenage girls thronged movie halls around UK and U.S.

Chris Stumpf, 19, bought his opening night ticket in September; not wanting to miss the first show, he was the first person in the theatre.

Better than Twilight
The movie is definitely better than Twilight, both in terms of direction and filming.

It is much more professional, keeping in line with the story of the book. There are some exhilarating and remarkable shots in the movie, which keep the viewers hooked.

The vampire makeup stands stood out before, but this time it was less striking, making it look more approving than ghastly.

Bella's character shows how she puts herself in ever increasing danger to conjure Edward. The adventure starts when Edward believes Bella to be dead and turns into a Volturi, making the movie more gripping than its predecessor.

After watching New Moon, one cannot help but feel more excited for the saga's next in line—“Eclipse”.
