<strong>New York, October 26--</strong> Andrew Lloyd Weber is confident to return to work as soon as possible. The 61-year-old composer, reportedly being treated for prostate cancer, was quoted by his friends saying,

Lloyd Weber had recently announced a sequel to the ‘Phantom of the Opera’, a musical that achieved spectacular success. The sequel called ‘Love Never Dies’ is scheduled to open in February in the coming year

New York, October 26-- Andrew Lloyd Weber is confident to return to work as soon as possible. The 61-year-old composer, reportedly being treated for prostate cancer, was quoted by his friends saying, "The show WILL go on."

A spokesman for Webber said: "Andrew's condition is in its very early stages. He is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year."

Lord Lloyd Weber has achieved tremendous success with musicals and talent shows. His most popular musicals include ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.

Further he is also known for his talent shows on BBC like ‘How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘I'd Do Anything’

He is also expected to launch a new talent show on BBC to find Dorothy and Toto for his new staged production, ‘The Wizard of Oz’.

The news of Lloyd Weber being diagnosed with cancer has saddened his fans. Many of them have taken to blogs and forums to wish their favorite composer quick recovery.

A fan named silntwtness commented on MSN Music, “Am very saddened to hear of his diagnosis, and hope that his treatment will result in a complete recovery. I am a huge fan of his works, and hope and pray that he can continue to inspire the world with his masterpieces. Please know Mr. Webber that you are in my prayers!”

“The good news is that they caught it in its early stages. That usually bodes well for recovery. As someone who has gone through my own cancer scare and survived, I wish Mr. Webber the best.” stated a fan named mikechicago59 on the same site.

Another fan named Celia Hanover posted her view on sky.com, “Hope he has a speedy recovery, We will all be praying for him. We want to see more of his work for a long time to come. Get Well Soon.”

About prostate cancer
Prostate cancer has increasingly been reported by men in UK. It is the most common form of cancer affecting around 35,000 men in the each year with around 10,000 succumbing to the disease.

It is largely reported among men in the age of 50. Common symptoms include pain in the lower back, pelvis and hips.
