Jealous woman jailed for stabbing ex

Darwin, Australia -- An Australian woman was sentenced to four months in jail for stabbing her ex-boyfriend while he was in bed with another woman.
Lorena Lippett of Darwin, Northern Territories, had been drinking heavily when she attacked her ex-boyfriend in the stomach with a small pair of scissors while he was in bed with the other woman at his home in October, prosecutors said.
Lippett had a domestic violence order prohibiting her from talking to her ex-boyfriend, but the court heard the pair had resumed their sexual relationship.
The court was told Lippett is only violent when drunk and she wishes to apologize to her ex-boyfriend, who needed three stitches to close the wound.
