MLB: Philadelphia 8, N.Y. Yankees 6

Philadelphia -- Chase Utley slammed two more home runs and the Philadelphia Phillies held on to beat the New York Yankees 8-6 Monday in Game 5 of the World Series.

The series will return to Yankee Stadium Wednesday with the Yankees leading three games to two.

Utley has five home runs in the five games, tying former Yankee Reggie Jackson for the most homers in a World Series. Utley clubbed a three run homer in the first inning and a solo shot in the seventh.

Jackson hit five home runs in the 1977 series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Phillies led 8-2 before the Yankees started to come back and make it a close game.

Raul Ibanez hit a 420-foot home and drove in two runs for Philadelphia.

Alex Rodriguez had three RBI for New York.

Cliff Lee pitched into the eighth inning for his second win of the series. Lee allowed seven hits and five runs.

The loser, A.J. Burnett, 1-1 in the series, was mauled for six runs and left the game in the third inning.
