David Eckstein drove in the first run with a bases-loaded, fielder's choice grounder. A ground-rule double by Gonzalez brought home another run and, after Chase Headley was walked intentionally to load the bases, Will Venable drew a walk to force in a run.
Kouzmanoff then singled to left, driving in what turned out to be the winning run.
Milwaukee scored twice in the bottom of the seventh and had runners on first and second when Mike Adams came on to relieve Luke Gregerson and retire Casey McGehee to end the inning.
Starter Kevin Correia (8-9) earned the victory after giving up three runs and six hits in six innings. Heath Bell collected his 29th save.
The loss went to reliever Todd Coffey (4-2), who allowed three runs on three hits while retiring only two batters.
