The Twins outhit the Brewers 12-8 and scored all seven of their runs in the first three innings while roughing up losing pitcher Jeff Supan (5-5) to the tune of nine hits in five innings.
Crede's three-run double in the first inning staked the Twins to an early lead. Milwaukee answered in the bottom of the first with two of their own on Mike Cameron's two-run single with the bases loaded.
Both teams scored a run in the second. Brendan Harris singled in a run for Minnesota, and the Brewers made it 4-3 on an RBI double by Casey McGehee.
Minnesota broke the game open in the third with another three-run inning.
Delmon Young drove in a run with a double and Gomez followed two batters later with a two-run, bases-loaded single to center.
Francisco Liriano (3-8) gave up three runs on seven hits over five innings for his first win since May 9. R.A. Dickey, Matt Guerrier and Joe Nathan combined on four scoreless innings of relief.
