Tribunal Chief Adjudicator Caroline Sheppard said the appeals to the National Parking Adjudication Service have ranged from people rushing to use the bathroom to individuals delivering a pizza, The Daily Telegraph said Thursday.
"What shows up time and time again is that people have myriad practical events that impact on their lives and, therefore, their parking ... From pizzas to pantomimes, peeling paint to petrol ... we have seen all manner of things crop up in appeals," Sheppard said.
Among the more creative appeals was an individual's contention that a parrot inside a vehicle knocked off a residential permit, leading to a parking ticket.
Another appeal included a driver's claim that a vehicle was left outside a veterinary's office in order to facilitate the delivery of an ailing python.
